Norton ProSand sanding sheets are premium aluminum oxide abrasive sheets designed for heavy material removal and surface preparation on wood, drywall, paint and other materials. The 60 grit coarse rating delivers powerful cutting action for demanding sanding tasks, making these sheets ideal for rough stock removal, smoothing surfaces before finishing, and preparing substrates for paint or stain application.

These sanding sheets combine high-quality aluminum oxide abrasive with a latex-saturated, heavyweight, fiber-reinforced backing that flexes without breaking, extending service life even under heavy use. The open abrasive grain coating resists clogging and loading, maintaining consistent cutting performance throughout the job. The sheets work wet or dry, allowing you to add water to minimize dust during sanding while achieving superior results.

Features and Benefits

  • Excellent Cutting Power: Aluminum oxide abrasive provides superior performance on all surfaces, cutting faster and lasting substantially longer than conventional abrasives.
  • Flexible Backing: The fiber-reinforced backing flexes without breaking, extending the effective service life of each sheet.
  • Clog-Resistant Coating: Water-based stearate open coating resists clogging and loading, delivering a smoother sanding experience without interruption.
  • Wet or Dry Use: Works effectively wet or dry, giving you flexibility to reduce airborne dust by sanding with water when needed.
  • Versatile Application: Suitable for sanding paint, drywall, wood, fiberglass, composites and metals.
